***sorry for title typo I meant 2020. I know people will comment something dumb***

There is absolutely NO WAY April 10, 2020 sticks as the release date. I truly believe this is a placeholder until they figure things out. For starters, it makes no sense to release seven days after Resident Evil 3 and five days before Cyberpunk. Why would you ever stick it between two such huge releases. It makes zero sense from a sales perspective.

Also, April 10th is Good Friday. In some countries, the post offices and delivery services are closed. The game won't be able to even be delivered to some people. It just all seems like a rush announced and I truly believe this is a direct response to the datamine leaks, because a few extra weeks isn't going to make or break the game "polish" wise. It still needs to go gold about a month before.

I am expecting we see this delayed to July or August at this point.

Agreed. Another delay will be announced in March

I wouldn't be surprised if it's pushed back to the late summer. I wouldn't want to go up against RE3 and Cyberpunk because they both look freakin amazing. I also wouldn't want to go up against TLOU2 which is releasing in May and will probably be the most critically acclaimed game of the lot.
I've got the house all to myself, I've got the world all to myself.

It wouldn't surprise me if another delay happened however with this delay only being a month I doubt the reason for the delay was anything major thus not warranting anymore delays. You've got a point about April 10th being Good Friday(A bank Holiday) in the UK at least. Still in those cases some places deliver the game early.

Honestly, if they do delay it again I feel September like the original's release would make the most sense. We shall see, but April 10th just seems like the worst possible date for it.

Agreed, which is why I actually don't believe they plan to stick to it.

You guys are aware that cyberpunk and re3 are completely different games and genres, right?

None of these factors seem to play when countless games drop in October and november every year

Square didn't screw themselves. They screwed the others releasing in April. You got it backwards.
