Only if you ignore Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus and Advent Children

And we are going to ignore them because none of those games "complete" the story of VII. They all came after the fact to basically cash in on its popularity. Much like the remake.

They where a thing when the company started the Remake.
If people are going to complain that Final Fantasy VII Remake is not the whole story, that is fair because it is not, but neither is the original release.

The original release is a complete story.

The original release doesn't even tell the player if the party survived or not.

Is that seriously the argument you're going for here? Even though the post credit scene heavily implies they do?

This is your interpretation of the post credit scene, which is fine if you want to believe that, but the post credit scene does not heavily implies they do.
The only thing that does the post credit scene is show that Red XIII survived.

So your argument is that because we don't see anyone else in the post credit scene apart from Red XIII, who was right there with everyone else when Meteor hit, that that somehow means FFVII doesn't deliver a complete story and also doesn't heavily imply they survived?

Either way, you see that the planet was saved - which was their goal all along. Whether they all survived or not isn't really overly important in the grand scheme of things.

Doesn't the post credit scene mention a hundred years later or something? Or was that simply my interpretation since red is looking much older and midgar was taken over by nature?

Edit: yep just my interpretation.

So?, is a complete story.

And the compilation is a cash grab, wasn’t planned by the time FFVII was released.

*Looks at his 8 .Hack games sitting on his ps2 wall*

I have no issue with multipart games.
Undertale was a bad game.

How can it be complete if it doesn't show you the end?

It shows the end, stop trolling and justifying all S-E decisions, please.
