Doesn't the JPN ver. of CC say "Zaacksu" or something like that, in voiced scenes?

That would be ザックス・フェア, Zakkusu Fea

When they say it quickly, it sounds like they're skipping the "ku" part, but it's definitely there.

Double K indicates a short pause before saying the "kku" part.

That's what I'm saying. The Japanese have a lot of those "word+u" sound to many of their names, places and things.

I'll leave this here.

エアリス・ゲインズブール : Earisu Geinzubūru

Japanese alphabet is comprised of "a (ah), i (pronounced as the letter "e" in English", u, e (pronounced as "eh"), o sounds. That's it. There's more, like "n" but I'm trying to make a point here.

So they don't pronounce it as Aeris (or as written in English).

I guess native Japanese people are wrong? Okay.

You study Japanese at all by any chance?

You can hear them say "earisu" especially if you've studied Japanese before.

So again, they call her エアリス, which is pronounced as "Eh-ah-ri-su"

So it's not even Aeris.

Pronouncing it as Aeris (or as written in English) would be "ah-eh-ri-su" which is just wrong entirely.

There is a difference between "Ae" and "Ea" when it comes to pronounciation in Japanese.

At least be qualified by having learned Japanese before being so unbending and incorrectly headstrong on your stance in this subject.

Watch the video. They call her Aeris bro.

I did.

As someone who studied Japanese, I could clearly hear him say "Earisu." It's one of those things where you can hear it if you're in the know. Outsiders won't be able to catch it.

You still haven't answered my Q, you ever study Japanese? First thing they teach you is alphabet pronounciation.

"Aeris" pronounced in Japanese would be quite literally "ah-eh-ri-su" going by their alphabet rules.

Clear difference between "ah-eh" and "eh-ah" if you hear it in real life.

Don't know why you're trying so hard to school someone in something you know nothing about man =/

LMAO!

Oooooo, forgive me for my "outsider" ears not clearly hearing the silent "u" at the end of "Aeris".

(There was no "u" at the end)

It's a "oo" sound, like Susano-O.

It's actually an "Ooo-oi-koo". Outsiders won't be able to catch it.
