OK. I think we know that. There are plenty of good games out there that don't keep chugging along like DKS3.

IMO, even though I love DS3, I think Bloodborne is a better game, but it has nowhere near the same level of activity.
And you will all live to grow and thrive and lead happy lives...
...until old age take you back to the weeds.

It must be the invading and PvP. That seems to make the most sense. I mean sure people can do different builds, runs etc., but how long can that keep people playing. On Steam Charts right now it shows 9800 people playing online. Amazing for a 3 year old game.

The invading and pvp are a large part of it, I'm sure. That said, I'm one of those people that comes back more often for the different builds than the pvp. I do enjoy pvp at times, but its not my primary draw to the game.

For me it's the weapon variety that keeps pulling me back.
I always use 1 weapon on 1 character, replay value is insane that way and it keeps the game fresh.
And there is just nothing like Darksouls out there story/atmosphere wise.

It also helps that the game keeps you on your toes, even 5 playtroughs in you always have to be careful and deliberate.
