The 940MX must be a real POS if it couldn't handle Fallout 4. My GTX 580 is over six years old and it can handle Fallout 4 on medium with a crap ton of mods.

Running on a AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9Ghz, 4GB RAM and a GTX 750Ti, which according to the minimum requirements wouldn't be enough yet the first 5 minutes of the game run great on low settings, maintaining a steady 50FPS with some drops to 40.

Any chance this will change later in the game upon reaching certain areas which you'll regularily visit?

Hey man, I am running on an exact build and I was wondering how it ran later in game. Please respond!

I ran it for a while on an even worse system (with a GTX650). On low settings it will run fine but in some areas like downtown Boston you may get fps drops. The biggest problem however, is frozen/infinite load screens, which seemed to get worse and worse (possibly as my file got larger) and ultimately killed all joy.

Do you think my rig will run it well?

So I'm finally picking this game up, considering is only about 33$ for its GOTY.
Christmas Sale, the only issue is can my PC handle it, specs are as following.

Laptop

Acer Aspire E 15

i3, 2.4, 3MB L3 Cache

Intel HD Graphics 620, up to 2110 MB Dynamic Video Memory

4 GB DDR4 Memory, 1000GB HDD

I do plan to add my second 4Ram to Duel Channel for its Boost.
Which should be enough to push my system to a playable range.

My Benchmark, I'm able to play a modded Oldrim at 20-30FPS.
And Yes! Those framerates are playable, shame non believers.
When first running Skyrim no mods I couldn't run Ultra Settings.
Perfectly on Medium Textures, most other setting at 75-100%.
So I used, HiRes, 2K, Flora, Static Mesh, Elfx with Weathers.
Open Cities, Realistic Waters 2, ETac Complete, Hit My FPS.
Also a few Quest Land Mods, Helgen Reborn, Pirates North.
Expansions include, Nyhus, Folkstead, Haafstad, Other Mods.
Plus the drawback of Screen Res set to Fullscreen, 768x1024.

Fallout 4 likely won't need much if any Graphical Overhauls.
I tweaked Skyrim to be playable, Fallout 4 can't be to hard.
I expect to see a+15FPSBoost to Skyrim With added Ram.
