I was exploring the southwest part of Far Harbor and I came across a dead doppelganger of my character. He was equipped with a vault suit, a pistol and some leather/metal armors.

Absolute weirdest thing that's happened in all my time playing.

This a typical experience or something I've never heard of before?

I thought that was a bug that was patched near launch date.

I never had that happen personally.

Was it a Vault 111 suit, or a different one? It would be an interesting thing to add or reintroduce in Far Harbor, since DiMA does bring up the "are you a synth?" question and it's never really answered one way or the other.

On the other hand, knowing Bethesda it's at least as plausible that it's just a bug.

That comes from one of AndrewCX mods, like, USO or something. He added it as an easter egg

Sounds like a bug to me, I'm not sure though, tbh.
If it was any company other than Bethesda, I might be a little less prone to thinking it's a bug.
We all know Bethesda is absolutely notorious for releasing buggy games and then completely ignoring the community, though.

As for your character being a synth... I doubt it considering your character is older than the Institute and has had a child.

It's possible your character can be a synth as you have no way of knowing if they replaced the real SS with a gen 3 synth that thinks it's the SS. We get to see the SS wake up twice but who is to say there was not a third or fourth time to replace them due to malfunction of cryopod. Still unlikely of course. :)

Times like this is when we need necromancer spells from TES.

AAAHHH!!! That's what you were programmed to believe. How do you know if the Institute didn't kill you and replace you with a synth at the same time they took your baby?
Or, more likely they replaced you 60 years later, (after they used the babys' DNA to clone synths), when you woke up because FATHER wanted to experiment.

Lol it's possible. Just unlikely that the institute would make a synth just to freeze it for 60 years. The whole puspose of the synths was to study the Wasteland up close, wasn't it?

I think it was anyway, the whole story was kind of just slapped together so there's a lot that wasn't fully explained.
