I'm having trouble with this quest because the game keeps freezing every time I get near the Greenetech Genetics building. I can pick up the Courser signal just fine, but I can't get anything further because of this bug. I've even tried reloading an older save and heading straight to Greenetech, but it still freezes up when I get near.

I won't be able to complete the main story unless I get into that building. Does anyone have any tips?

First thing I'd do is clean my game disc. Maybe you have a scratch or piece of crud on there.

The disc is clean.

I can go everywhere else but the Greenetech area. It looks like other people have come across this, but everything I can find is over a year old and no one mentions a fix.

Are you using any mods?

I haven't had any problems with the quest myself since I always come in from the backside and then go around the front, but I understand that there are a few mods that will interfere with it that involve game difficulty.

I have heard that this seems to be an issue when you're playing on very hard or survival difficulties or if you come to it at very high level.

I have maybe five mods running, one is a clean and clear Sanctuary. I'd rather not uninstall that one because it might mess up the settlement I spent 20 hours making.

I'm playing on casual. This is more of a RP run than a combat heavy one.

Have you played through with these mods before, with no problems doing Hunter/Hunted?

I don't think the Sanctuary one would bother anything. Strange. Are you on PS4?

Does that building has optional entrances? Maybe you can enter by the ending exit point with an infinite jetpack mod?

I am on the PS4.

I tried re-installing the game, but the bug persists. Ended up reloading a very old save and tracking down the Greenetech building well before I need it. Hopefully I can go back ok when I reach that quest again.
