Didn't see a thread like this, so I'll throw it out. Post some of your favorite underrated horror games that you don't hear people talking about often.

Darkwood (PC) - Scariest 2D/top down game I've ever played.
Lone Survivor (PC) - Really good atmosphere, really makes you think. At least I did.
Pathologic (PC) - Maybe not a classic "horror" game, but dang it drew me in. The remake/sequel that is scheduled for release tentatively this year looks a lot more scary.

Theresia for DS was pretty good, though it wasn't really scary.
Oh? Who are you, Mr. Bunny? This world is like the real world, but evil has twisted it.

Clock Tower. They won't make you jump out of your seat in fright but they do a good job of making things feel tense.

The evil within 2. It actually got good reviews, but it couldn't manage to sell very well which is really a shame.

Seems it couldn't get very good reviews, But I've seen a lot of horror fans talking about it.

Obscure 1 and 2 on the ps2. They let you play co-op with a friend too.
We only finished the second. Never got back to finishing the first.

A nice little Indy game called Lone Survivor. I played this entirely with a set of headphones and it was very chilling at times.

Hmm aren't most horror games under-rated, generally speaking?

I guess Cursed Mountain would be a contender. Another might be Ghost Hunter, for PS2, though I haven't played enough of it to know it is genuinely horror.

Clock Tower as a series is reasonably well known...but I guess it deserves more love.

D isn't one I hear talked about a lot...It is an interesting game, and a passion project for the creator.

I will probably think of more and post again.
