And why did you dislike it so much?

I don't know if I ever played one that I totally despised.

Cold Fear and Carrier were both decent games, just mediocre, but they're probably the two worst I've played off the top of my head. Cold Fear had a neat RE4-feel to it, and the opening segments on the ship with the waves crashing and the ship lurching were intense, but then it got rather generic. Carrier as well was just... generic. I don't recall much about it at all, besides it looking, sounding, and playing rather bland.

Perhaps Obscure, but Obscure had a neat co-op mode despite being old-school fixed-camera Resident Evil gameplay, and therefore it became enjoyable for me by virtue of playing with others (my mom, in fact, in her only attempt at playing survival horror, IIRC!).

Rule of Rose.

Beautiful game in every respect except the combat, which sucks so utterlyI don't think I can ever replay that game. Maybe one day I'll steel myself to revisit it, but that's a long time coming, lol.
You can get the bowblade early on too... if you are a murderer.

I don't despise it, but Friday the 13th for the NES. I had no idea what I was supposed to do and this was waaay before the internet. Kicked it's butt when I revisited it in my twenties.

*TRIGGERED*

Anyway... Um, maybe the original Siren for being too trial and error and having some awful objectives and mechanics. We would all go on to hate horror games where enemies have guns, but no one ever gives Siren s*** for this. There are watchtowers with snipers in the game -_-

But honestly, I know there are worse out there. Especially those hide n seek games. I tend to avoid them because I think the genre is just terrible.

Now that you mention the NES... I didn't play Friday the 13th until years later, but I did play Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde... yikes! Monster Party was kind of neat, definitely the better of the two.

The Ring: Terror's Realm was one of the worst games I have played, horror or not. The controls sucked, it was ugly as sin, one of the best coasters out there.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

I just went and checked them is out on YouTube...wow, the dialogue is pretty bad at least, and the action seemed fairly lacklustre. I wonder what apes have to do with Sadako!
