I voted "interstellar travel", because I think it's a necessary precursor to teleportation - at least on distant worlds - because I picture teleportation as needing a portal generator at the exit in addition to the entrance.

Interstellar travel

I love reading up on articles concerning theories and facts on outer space; planets, galaxies, etc. Being able to actually travel to these areas would be awesome - whether I do it myself or read about other people's adventures.

Providing they survive, of course ;)

Teleportation, in a heartbeat - so many people I'd see more often if logistics were not a factor.

I'll never get people who say they want teleportation. What if the teleportation we create, isn't really teleportation and only a deconstruction of all of our cells and an accurate reconstruction elsewhere? You create a clone with a separate but identical consciousness, while the current you ceases to exist. We'd never know this was a problem or that it was even happening, because the recreation carries our thoughts and thinks nothing bad happened.

I'd never f***ing touch teleportation with a ten foot pole just in case.

There was a movie a number of years ago that involved bad guys that, whenever they were mortally wounded, their memories were transferred to cloned bodies. They were fearless of death because of that - THAT part I couldn't come to terms with for the exact reason you described.

If this was teleportation that basically vaporized your current body and transferred your memories to a cloned body, I'd also have to refuse its use.

From what I understand, there's now not a cell in my body that was there when I was born, so the only difference would appear to be that they all get renewed at once rather than gradually. It doesn't matter anyway, I am reasonably certain this remains fiction rather than science for the rest of my life.

Interstellar travel, I suppose.

It's the only option that seems remotely feasible, since all of the others will inevitably result in the annihilation of mankind.

Have you read up on David Wilcock's material? Like on
https://divinecosmos.com/
and his various books (the Ascension Mysteries is a real eye opener).
According to that stuff, we have secret space programs zipping around the solar system, and maybe beyond. We also have aliens watching us (many, many species of aliens too).
And we are being deliberately being kept in the dark about it.

That site also taught me about the Deep State (trying to unite us under a nightmare global order), and the Alliance (fighting the Deep State now, apparently winning, supporting and being supported by Trump, and trying to bring Disclosure about all of this).

If all this stuff is true (or close enough), and all this QAnon stuff is true, we could be seeing Disclosure within the next 12 months. Maybe even within the next 3 months.

Is also a good site about this wider paradigm shift.
This has been another (probably) uselessly informative post, by me. Booyah!

I feel pretty strongly about all the options in this poll:

Human-like artificial intelligence:
This one is pretty nice. It can create a support for people who really need it. Think, the movie Her without the downsides involved in the later half. People would really get into this, and I think it would be nice.

Immortality:
This one is a problem. Not only would people learn to hate it, I think it would just cause a lot of problems in society. Plus, if we really mean actual immortality, you just live til the death of Earth, and float in space forever. You stare into nothingness for billions of years, and best case scenario, somehow a new life form comes across you, but you have no sense of time, and their entire species will go extinct in what feels like minutes to you, then back to nothingness.

Interstellar travel:
This one is cool, but not even practical in our lifetime, even if it instantly became a thing. It needs a lot of setup, and seems irrelevant no matter how it's implemented.

Teleportation:
Others have already posted my feelings on this. It's an actual death machine no matter how you slice it. There is no way it isn't. Wouldn't touch it under any circumstances.

Time travel:
"Become a reality" in the poll question seems to imply many have access to it. Other people having access to time travel is the end of the world. This can't happen. If it were just me, cool, that'd be fun. But the poll question makes this become a death sentence.

Matrix-like virtual reality:
This is the most fun. It might seem like the most boring choice, but it would actually be incredible. It basically makes Human-like artificial intelligence an irrelevant choice because it already contains it. Otherwise, you can go to...and largely live in..a world where you can do anything you want. It'd be like lucid dreaming at any moment of your free time. Live all your fantasies in your free time.
Bells, bells, bells!
