Zithers also suggested we have an off topic sort of area, which I've always thought would be nice. When I made the board I never really intended to have it fully be about movies, but more of a hang out area for people who really enjoy them.

Feel free to talk about nothing in particular here. I'm terrible at leading discussions though, so I'll let someone else take the liberty of breaking the ice.

I hope that guy never manages to infiltrate this place. He's really something else.

I just don't understand how he's never gotten tired or posting the same two topics over and over after all these years. It's always about genres or feet. EVERY TIME.

I like this topic.

This Sunday is my wife and my first year anniversary. We have already paid for a hotel in Philadelphia for Friday and Saturday night, since we can't travel too far and it's just a 2.5 hour drive up I-95. Anyway, Hurricane Florence might see to it that we don't want to drive those days so we may be eating a cancellation fee. Sad, but we are definitely not the people you should be most worried about with this potential mess.

I really want to go though. Philadelphia is apparently a great food city now, and not just because of cheesesteaks and pretzels (though I am very pro cheesesteak and pretzel, let me tell you). We've heard a lot of good things about this Israeli restaurant that I am dying to check out, but when I called two weeks ago they were literally booked til mid-November! We can still get there early and wait outside in hopes to get a spot at the bar, so the question is do I make my seven month pregnant wife wait outside in the probable rain so I can eat at a restaurant that I want to? Probably, yes.

Hey, if Rebecca Ferguson can subdue an international terrorist and defuse a nuclear bomb while 7 months pregnant, I think your wife can handle a little rain.

My wife and I ate at Zahav when we were in Philadelphia. We were able to get reservations the same day, so it really must've picked up steam in the year and a half since we were there.

You could also just book a hotel near Reading Terminal Market and stay dry the whole time while gorging yourselves on all that deliciousness. There's every kind of food under the sun in there. It's low-brow but high-yield. At least have one breakfast at Dutch Eating Place.
