31 days of Oscars looks like it's going to be hammer us with a lot of foreign essentials if there's some people haven't seen yet. Get those DVRs ready.

Also for our preparation for 1960 they'll be airing Gillo Pontecorvo's Kapo.

Figured I'd bump this one.

Tiffany Vasquez left the channel. Wonder if TCM is gonna hire one of their FilmStruck hosts (Alicia Malone and Lucky Yates) to be a new host.

Ben and Eddie can't do it all on their own.

Tiffany left?

I was hoping she'd one day take over instead of Ben. Damn it.

Can I send a resume to them?

Decided to check out One Way Passage. It's supposed to be a romantic melodrama except it privileges character and entertainment over attempts at being cloying. The chemistry between its two leads is established right away and should have been enough to carry the film. Not content with 2 well constructed characters, the film gives you another 3 on the peripheral that each contribute in some way - whether its the comic relief that steals scenes or a couple side characters that initially seem one note and gradually reveal their depth. One Way Passage even has the confidence to stick its landing. A true gem.
I've made a huge mistake

Does anybody use the WatchTCM app? I just got an Amazon Fire Stick, and considering I don't own a DVR, WatchTCM seems like kind of revelation. It should certainly help my goal of watching more movies from the 30s (One Way Passage is on there, so I can start with that). It doesn't seem like it streams in HD, but I've seen worse.

We also would have accepted, "Tell me what you think of me."

I don't but I should download the app on any device that it's available for, I keep forgetting about it. Could certainly help free up some space on my DVR.

Dave Karger and Alicia Malone are the new TCM hosts to fill the void left by Bob and Tiffany.

Meh. Alicia Malone is so vanilla on her twitter. Dunno the guy but I guess he's done guest hosting before.
