I really hope they about us to do some side-grinding in this new one. The biggest pet peeve I've always had with the series is that you always had this big army but only a small fraction of which will ever get off the bench.

Heck, I'd like to see them release DLC like the Golden pack or Bloodlines 3 that are easy to grind, even if they make it accessible post-story. Just keep something like the reeking boxes for main story to train people up.

Just my two cents though. I realize I'm the minority here but I can honestly say that the grinding and post-game DLC is what keeps me playing FE:A so much.

The Hoshido path has a freeroam system, Nohr is linear like old school FE games.

Like the above guy said, Hoshido will have grinding and a roaming map. Nohr doesn't.

If you wanna grind in Nohr, you'll have to Boss Abuse, or if they have arenas, grind on those.

hoshido has world map backtracking I guess so you can grind there I guess..

I find it funny when people say they that they hate world maps because they want a challenge like the classics. in awakening backtracking was optional and the risen barely gave any exp and on harder modes the item for spawning them was too expensive and I actually like the over world shops that sell seals and decent weapons(I like challenges as much as the next guy but trying to stock up weapons mid battle is kind of annoying).

the post game of awakening almost reminds me of breeding/ev's in pokemon because you'll spend hours grinding for the best skills to be passed down to the broken children characters.

From what i know, its basically like this
Hoshido- map, backtracking, grinding and lots of money
Nohr- no map, no backtracking, limited grinding and limited money
Or you could just say Hoshido is new style and Nohr is old style

Wow, thanks for the info everyone.

If the Nohr a more traditional, it would be cool to get an arena or something up but I guess we shall see where it goes. Would suck missing a side of the story just because of playstyle. Meh, buck up and deal in that case.

I thought of that too. Probably why I liked it so much.

Awakening post game was, for me, all about training an army of super soldiers, getting infinite money and massacring street/spotpass team for the evulz

And yeah, it does remind me of pokemon
