Doom

Right at the start the party will automatically be inflicted with 45s Doom.

Doom is permanent in this fight.
Even if you die and get revived, a new one will automatically be reapplied.
However this new Doom is set at 60/30/15s in Phase 1/2/3.


Air Bubble

After Leviathan uses "Aqueous Aqua Breath", Air Bubbles could be spawned.
The character that directly destroys the Air Bubble will gain time in his Doom Count.
Number and quality of Air Bubble is dependent on the amount of En-Lightning in the party.

If the party has 1/2/3+ members with En-Lightning, 1/2/3 Air Bubbles will be spawned.
If the total En-Lightning level in the party is at least 1/4/7, each Air Bubble will add 10/15/20s to the Doom Count.

One of my most favorite bosses in this game, and best of this year.

How many bosses had we have that involves us wasting hours on various setups only to fail in Phase 2/3, and we have to start over and spend so much time getting back there to see if our new strategy works.
Or spending 15~30 mins getting to Phase 3 in a run only for RNG/butterfingers to mess things up.

All of Leviathan's difficulty lies in Phase 1.
Making it so much of a breeze for trial and error since all the reruns happen in Phase 1 only.
Phase 2 & 3 are nothing if you are bursting.

Once you are ready to get going, there is only 1 En-Lightning removal and a Mighty Guard to Dispel as obstacles. And if you spend time to prepare for the former and queue the latter, its not even an issue.

Biggest hurdle of this fight is how you handle Doom.
The attacks in Phase 1 doesn't hurt (with ProShellWall) and Levi shouldn't be able to get much turns in the later phases since you are bursting.

Unfortunately this is one of those fights where it is not easy to make a template strategy.
Different players have their own ways to handle Doom.
Manual Reraise ability, AOE Reraise, allowing some to die from Doom, allowing all to die from Doom, and when to let Doom run out.

Meanwhile whales and those with Lightning SASBs can just breeze through.

You can refer to my run for my Kain's inital input sequences to dodge the 5s Doom on time.
Also for Prompto users, just ignore damage and gear him for MND to sweat off the Stop.


Overall the "easiest" 6* Magicite of all. Titan & Alexander are too much of a joke to be considered part of the group.
Would be a good representation on how 6* is like (difficult content with self buffs and gimmick) but you just had the toughest......

It's so weird how early this is coming for Global. December 20, hrm. But I guess if we can beat it when it comes out, then it makes the fest banners considerably less tempting. What an odd move on their part...

I guess I ought to finish my Ramuh clears before then. Speaking of, Radiant's basically out the window here with those constant Dooms and Saps. It's not impossible, I don't think? But it'd be hyper obnoxious.

I have plenty of Lightning stuff, but it's all over the place. Once again, Noctis is out. So, my best characters are probably Kain AASB/BSB and Garnet CSB/USB1. I also have Prompto USB, King USB/BSB/SSB, Lightning bUSB, Sora Glint/BSB/AOSB, Ashe USB/AOSB, Shantotto USB/AOSB, Reno USB/CSB... I may have the tech for a clear, but I'll need to experiment a bit to figure out a good team.

(Also I really don't want to have to make an R5 Reraise. I don't even have an R1 of that thing.)

@raoxi on a brighter note, assuming the banner isn’t changed, it also has Aranae AASB on it so effectively gives you a chance to setup for a physical or magical clear.
