Proudest platinum? Toughest platinum? Have you abandoned a platinum and why?
Proudest and toughest kinda go hand in hand. I could probably say any of the fighting game platinums I have. MvC:I in particular after that game was haunting me for like a year I was in a situation where I temporarily had 2 PS4's in my possession and I devised a method on my own to boost myself to rank 10 when seemingly no one had yet been able to figure it out. I ended up posting that method on the psntrophies message boards for others to use.
Windjammers might have been the overall toughest one I've done. Beating arcade mode on Hard is ridiculous and I pretty much played the game every day for 2 months straight practicing and recognizing AI patterns until I could do it. I ended up being in the top 100 on the online leaderboards in that game (at least during the times I was playing it) and it'll be one of the games I'll be playing next month when I go compete at a fighting tournament.
I've given up on quite few mainly fighting games that require 1000% combo trials like Street Fighter IV and Persona 4 Arena. I gave them an honest shot but I always capped out around 70-80% combos completed. The one that still bugs me to this day is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 because I did everything in that game beating it on all difficulties and whatnot but it had online coop trophies and I could never find someone to play with of similar skill level to try to finish up the last few co-op missions. I think I had 3 left or something like that, but could just never do it. There was definitely one where you had to fight all the major bosses at the same time in a tiny arena that was killer.
