I don't 100% understand what they do and what they cause so forgive my ignorance on this subject.

I am asking because a thread I'm doing got hit with a Disruptive Posting NWD with a comment saying I need to post songs in larger batches, I get that and can do that. But, I normally post 2 songs every 30 minutes to an hour, sometimes nobody posts and it can just be me posting for a while so I can see why it would be considered DP.

Though even if I do post songs in larger batches if I am the only one who is posting for a while would I get hit with another DP-NWD? Or worst?

I guess I just let the thread die if nobody but me is posting? Which is fine, just want to know before I continue my thread or try any other Top 100 threads.

NWD just means that your post is a violation of the TOU/Board Ediquette but not severe enough to warrant a full deletion. As for the disruptive rule, what we don't want is long strings of posts being posted within minutes of each other with no one else posting in between. Also, please be aware that this board is not for asking about your moderations.

Wasn't asking about moderations so much as I was asking about how to avoid moderations.

From SBAllen in this thread: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/6-gamefaqs-announcements/76187373
The way that NWD will work is that for minor offenses where a user technically violated a rule but their post wasn't particularly heinous, we will allow the post to remain but notify the user that their post was against the rules so that they know in the future not to post something similar again. If we notify the user a few times and their behavior doesn't change, we'll ramp up the punishment to deletions, then Warnings, and so on.

We're required to leave notes on NWD to give you a heads up of what to change to make your post adhere to the rules, so you should have some notes from the acting moderator on what to change.

You mentioned that you were told to post songs in larger batches and that you were posting a few songs an hour. My guess is that you were NWD'd for disruptive because you were essentially spam-bumping a thread, even if that wasn't your intention. Even on the bigger and/or faster moving boards you can have topics last for a day or more without new posts before they get purged. So instead of 2 songs/hour you could post every few hours and just have a single post with multiple songs in it - this way your topic doesn't get purged and you aren't accidentally spamming the topic to the front page repeatedly. Doing this you shouldn't get any more disruptive moderations. If for whatever reason you do get moderated it'll likely be another NWD with notes on what's up.

Alright, thank you for replying and giving me some further information on what I would need to do to avoid future moderations for this reason.
