Introduction:
-------------
Street Fighter II Rainbow Edition is not an official Capcom board technically speaking.
Supposedly it is the innovation of a Taiwanese company that hacked the board and made
some chips that would alter the game play. In a sense, it's a bootleg, and it was on
account of this game that Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting was released.

The easiest way to tell if you're playing the Rainbow edition is to look at the title
screen. It should display Street Fighter II with a rainbow of colors. Other than that
it's hard to mistake its identity when characters start throwing fireballs in the air.

This game kills flat the old debate over who got the first air fireball. Geese Howard
or Akuma? Neither. It was a 7 way tie between Ryu, Ken, Sagat, Guile, Dhalsom, Chun Li,
and Blanka. However, note that Geese Howard can destroy any of the aforementioned
characters (or die and come back trying :)

This game is only cool for the aestetic appeal, and although there are multiple versions
of this board floating around, this faq is based on the one I own, which is an early
version of Rainbow.

Operator Settings:
------------------

These are the switches found at the lower corner of the board, near the volume.
Flipping the switches can allow the operator of the board to increase the CPU level,
set it to free play, adjust coin intake values, etc.

Basically, you have three sets of 8 switches.
(following three tables shamelessly ripped from www.spies.com/arcade/)

The dips I have flipped on my board are:
+------------------------------+
| | Nothing special about these.
| B - 4: Super speed mode | But notice that B-4 is not a normal
| | switch in the SFII CE PCB.
C - 3: Free play

C - 6: Demo sound toggle

C - 8: Test mode
+------------------------------+

Notes:
* Flipping switches while board is powered up can cause damage to PCB.
* Having continue coin on causes any other coin config to be overlooked.
*

In order to get check the dips out, you should first enter Test mode. You do this by
flipping the switch at "C - 8" and then reboot your machine. It will load all the bios
and stuff and then display a screen with 5 options.

+-------------------+
1. Color
2. Dips Switches
3. IO
4. Character
5. Dot color

hit A to select
(jab ya know)
+-------------------+

So now if you go to Dips Switches you'll see a list of settings. On the right side of
the screen is the list of what dips are on and off. For some of the dips (the ones I
actually listed) you can see what they do. Some of them are a little more difficult
to acscertain, but I think one of them allows you to open the character usage display.

Honestly the only one I know is this:

up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, forward (B), jab (A)

This conclude the faq. I know that there are a lot of gaps. My fault. Hopefully
these will be fixed in due time.
