Could somebody explain what a burst weapon is?
I've been reading that in the JP version you could get burst weapon that gives you 'burst ability'. The banner spin also gives you 5 EX weapon that you can get, but only one burst weapon. Could somebody explain? Iammethe24 - 7 months ago

"Burst" is sort of like having a bonus summon gauge that is tied to a character. When used it gives you some turns in a row for the character that uses the burst that also doesn't take up the turn count (the same as with summons). In addition it gives you one use of all of their abilities that isn't tied to their actual counts that are lost if not used during the burst. On the last turn of the burst you get a special "burst ability" that is mostly just flash but also has the bonus of breaking the damage limit.
As for the banners you are generally looking at three EX's, 1 burst, and a "limited" (or LD) weapon. The last one is essentially another EX just with a new title, and rather than filling a gauge to use it you only get a limited amount of uses before it's gone like with normal abilities (though they are generally *far* stronger than normal abilities). ellis123 (Expert) - 7 months ago
One question, does burst weapon include EX ability? Iammethe24 - 7 months ago
And to add on, a Burst Weapon is a single weapon. Unlike 15, 35, EX and LD weapons, a Burst does not need Limit Breaks. A max level Burst Weapon is stronger then a MLB EX+, which is stronger then a MLB LD Weapon. MajinCal (Expert) - 7 months ago
So no more limit break stuff? That's good. Iammethe24 - 7 months ago
