Recommended Race(s): Brouni, Celestian (Highest INT for offensive Shaman), Therian (Highest STR for Invoke Gods)

Shaman's main job is to give buffs, and Divine Punisher's skills revolve around dispelling buffs to obtain various effects. Ancient Memory gives a chance to re-apply dispelled buffs, Soul Grace enables the user to endure fatal blow by dispelling a buff, Offering restores other party members' TP by dispelling a buff and/or debuff, Purification dispels all buffs and/or debuffs on both sides to restore own TP, Mana Oracle dispels Blaze Prayer / Hail Prayer / Bolt Prayer to deal 5 hits of the dispelled element’s damage, Aureole Oracle dispels Blaze Prayer / Hail Prayer / Bolt Prayer to absorb all of the dispelled element’s damage for that turn, and Invoke Gods dispels all 3 buffs on the user to deal amplified damage and reduce the target’s damage by 80%.

Divine Punisher doesn't have any extra note for its party recommendation. Just bring main attackers and put this class on the back row. That's it.
“Shaman works well or very well with pretty much everything.” - Hemless

With the assumption of rested character with around 30 skill points, spend one point on each Shaman's 6 prayer skills, then maximize Gospel and Prayer Mastery. Spend the rest of the points to unlock Mana Oracle, Aureole Oracle, Ancient Memory, and TP Up. Offering and Purification can restore party's TP but it requires many setups to gain full benefits, so it's not the best way to restore TP. Invoke Gods is this class' ultimate move, but it requires 3 prayer buffs to be dispelled. Unless you have 3 Shamans on your party members, you won't be able to use Invoke Gods efficiently. The other main attackers can cover up the damage.

Build notes:

  • I’ll be brutally honest, the only reason to pick this 2nd Name is that Ancient Memory gives you a chance to cast Dance Oracle multiple turns in a row.
  • Mana Oracle and Invoke Gods aren’t bad but are more well-suited for gimmick parties with more than one Shaman.
  • Aureole Oracle gets in the way of Dance Oracle. It might save your life once or twice if you bother to invest a point, but Divine Herald is what you pick if you’re worried about defense.
  • All the skills in Heaven’s Gift’s tree are pointless, nothing should live long enough for you to need these. Heaven’s Gift itself is situational at best.
  • Brouni Union Skills are always great on a healer/support class.

With that said the build is pretty simple:

Start 1 Level in the 6 initial Prayers (focus prayer can be skipped, but it is a useful tool for cheap healing.)

Optional Ancient Memory (1), TP Up (1)

Then Blaze/Hail/Bolt (3) > Dance Oracle(10).

Optional You may have to delay maxing or obtaining Dance Oracle for points in Gospel and/or Prayer Mastery depending on your TP Pool and how large a role your Shaman plays in your healing. I actually maxed both because I used Divine Punisher as my sole healer in battle.

When you have Dance Oracle(10), Gospel(10), and Prayer Mastery(10) or at levels that suit you…

Then Ancient Memory (1,5 or 10), Union/Racial skills/Gather Skills (although you may invest in some of these earlier), further improve the 6 basic prayers according to your needs, or play with Mana Oracle.
