Head west until you find a door and open it, then examine the taking point in front of you. I got Lotus Fruit and then Skunk Cabbage thanks to Brouni's Take skill. Now head southwest to find a crevice on the wall. It's a shortcut, but it's impassable from this side. Leave this area and then head north to find the remains of a campfire. Here you can make Grilled Fish from any Forest Fish that you've caught during your adventure. However, you should leave 1 Forest Fish to clear an event later. Directly east of here another crevice on the wall can be found, and once again it's impassable from this side.

Now keep heading east until you meet Lili, a Celestrian Girl who explains that the enemies here will be stronger than the ones in 1F. Head south from here to find an examinable object, which is another type of gathering spots. You need to learn Gathering Skill to be able to gather at this type of gathering spots. For now, you'll obtain a few Forest Wheats. Now continue east to find another examinable object. A guard sets up a trap and manages to catch a beast. However, the beast, Wounded Boar, successfully escapes and attacks you, so you have to defeat it. The guard then carves the meat and gives 5 Meats as reward.

Adventurer's Log

Big Game Hunting

After helping to put down an escaped beast, you receive a trophy from the monster hunt.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Head north until you meet another adventurers under the Freeblade Guild. Conrad, the guild's captain, then gives 5 Forest Wheats as well as his Guild Card. Later you'll meet them again throughout the game.

Adventuring Advice

Listen to the other guilds you meet in the labyrinth. Someday, their advice may very well save your life.

Turn right and head toward the north end to find Egar who is fishing. After a few chats, he says that he wants a Moon Apple. You'll obtain it later, so leave him for now. You can find a fishing point nearby, so catch a Forest Fish here. Now you should have 2 Forest Fishes. The second one will be required to clear a request later, so remember to save it. Hug the right wall until you find an examinable area where you can collect a few Forest Berries. However, before taking this option, heal your party members, and also learn ice-based attack skills when possible.

Now select the first option to obtain 3 Forest Berries, then you can choose whether you want to pick up another berries or not. If you pick another berries, you'll be ambushed by 3 Rabid Acorns. Defeat them, and then the second wave follows immediately, with 4 Rabid Acorns. Defeat them, then another decision shows up whether you want to pick up another berries or not. Select the first option again to obtain 5 Forest Berries, but your party members' HP and TP will be decreased by 15 (Advanced) / 12 (Basic), and then you'll be surrounded by 3 Wild Dogs. They are weak to ice element, so defeat them using said element. By following this options you'll get the best possible result.

Adventurer's Log

Hunting, Gathering, and Fighting

Upon finding a berry patch, you had to fight both nutty monsters and crazed canines to get all the berries.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Head west and then north from here to find another examinable object. This is a healing spot where all party members' HP are restored by 20 and theirs TP are restored by 10, but it's only available once per day. Head west until you find a chest with Medica II, then follow the way to the west of the second event to find a taking point. I got Brown Tuber here, and then 2 Brown Tubers and Skunk Cabbage. Now head west to meet Lili again. She gives Nectar and Ariadne Thread, then you can choose either option to continue. There is another crevice can be found in the south of this area, and now it's passable to the other side if you want to quickly turn back to 1F. Now follow the way to find a door to the next zone.

Big monsters, known as FOE (Formido Oppognatura Exsequens), show up on the field. FOEs aren't supposed to be fought during your first encounter, and you can slip past them by watching their movements. This time, Toxipedes show up on the field. This creature can easily OHKO your party members, so step back when one of them approaches you. Toxipedes travel back and forth in a straight line, so keep that in your mind. Move 2 squares, step back 1 square to avoid the first Toxipede, then follow the left wall and switch to the right in the narrow path before avoiding the second Toxipede. Keep heading west to find a hidden shortcut to the new zone.

There are as many as 3 Wild Dogs in random encounters, so hopefully you have a party member who can cast DEF buff since Wild Dog usually performs Threaten to decrease your DEF. Hug the right wall to draw most of the maps, and follow the way to E1 to find another Toxipede. Wait until it goes south, then quickly head north to find a chest with Healing Knife. Either Fencer, Shaman, or Harbinger can equip it. Now head east to find another crevice to return to the adjacent path, as you can't head south due to Toxipede. Now head southwest to complete your map, then backtrack all the way to the north until you return to previous zone.

Hug the right wall to draw the map, and follow the way until you arrive at an examinable area. A lemur is seen trying to catch a fish, and you can sneak behind and attack it even if it's not necessary. The second option does that, but the first option leads to another option whether you want to give a fish or not. Choose the first option again to give a Forest Fish to the lemur, which then quickly takes the fish and escapes.

Adventurer's Log

You gave a fish to a monster, avoiding an unnecessary fight. Perhaps violence isn't always the answer, after all.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Hug the right wall, avoid the nearest Toxipede, and follow the way until you find another door to the next zone. Shortly afterward, there is a stone wall on your right side, but you can't do anything about it. Follow the way to the south to find a Moon Apple tree. This gathering spot is similar to Forest Wheats spot, so you need to learn Gathering Skill. Harvest a few Moon Apples, then head to the opposite of the stone wall to find a smaller stone. Select the second option to touch it, and then a new path is revealed at the place where the stone wall was. Approach it to learn that it's an upstairs to 3F.

Adventurer's Log

Where No Guild's Gone Before

After solving a golem puzzle, the illusory barrier faded to open up the path. Upward and onward to a whole new floor!

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Don't go upstairs yet. You still need to deliver the Moon Apple to Egar, so head southeast to find another crevice which now is passable, and then return to Egar's position in the northeast side of the map. After passing the crevice, you may want to detour a little bit to the campsite and roast some Meats and Moon Apples to obtain Roasted Meats and Grilled Apples. Personally, I roasted 5 Meats and 2 Moon Apples here. If you only get 1 Moon Apple, don't make anything with it. Now head toward Egar and give the Moon Apple to him, who then gives 5 Forest Honeys before leaving. This floor is now done. You probably still need to draw your map, so do another exploration when necessary. Once you've done with that, it's better to return to the town and save your game.

Head into BAR. Since you've reached 2F, there are some requests that can be cleared.

Fetch Request

This request comes from the city apothecary. It's low on Skunk Cabbage, so go gather one.

Reward: Nectar x3

Skunk Cabbage is a rare item which can be farmed at any taking points in 2F. If you don't have it, just wait until past midnight at 00am, then head toward 2F and take another chance.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Fisherman's Favor

"Adventuring is one thing, yes, but can you fish? I want you catch me a fish from the labyrinth!"

Reward: Forest Fish x5

Forest Fish can be caught as early as 1F. If you don't grill all of them, this request can be cleared immediately.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Now select PATRON to see some new faces. The first one in the list introduces himself as Jaimie, who sells a set of Meats for a certain price. The rest of the patrons just inform some tips which may be useful during your adventure. Leave this place and visit SHOP to sell your loot, then check out some new equipment when they're available. In the following floor, you have to learn Forage Skill, so choose your Earthlain who still have any skill point. Once you're done, rest and save your game, then go back to Tutelary Forest and go upstairs to 3F.
