1st Stratum

1st Stratum Boss and Epilogue

Before entering the room, make sure that the stone walls at D3 and D5 are activated (their switches are at E3 and D5) in order to make the battle easier. You may also run away from every random encounters to save your TP as much as possible.

Amalgolem always opens the battle with explosion attack. Once it explodes, Amalgolem will split its body parts into smaller golems. Golem Body remains on the field, accompanied with White, Red, Black, and Yellow Golems. Once per turn, Golem Body will call one of the smaller golems to merge with the body. The first successful calling transforms the smaller golem into Golem Leg, which has its own attacks, the second successful calling transforms the smaller golem into Golem Arm, which also has its own attacks, and the third successful calling transforms the smaller golem into Golem Head, which also has its own attacks. If you manage to defeat one of the smaller golems before they're merged, Golem Body will call another smaller golems to the field. It can call up to 6 golems at once, but if you have activated both stone walls, it can only call 2 golems per command. When Golem Head, Golem Arm, and Golem Leg reappear at the same time, Amalgolem will explode once again, and this cycle is repeated.

The explosion easily incapacitates some of your party members, so you have to perform Defend on your first turn. Once they are separated, launch your best multi-hit attacks to target Golem Body while also attacking the smaller golems. Double Attack Union Skill is also useful for your heavy-hitters. Toss a few Medica IIs when you need healing, and perform Defend once again when Amalgolem manages to reappear. When either Golem Head, Golem Arm, or Golem Leg is missing, you don't have to defend as Golem Body will call the smaller golems. Basically, the most dangerous attack is the explosion, so remember to defend when Amalgolem returns, and just go full offense to take out everything on the field.

Your Harbinger must activate Miasma Armor, and then perform Paralyzing Reap to one of the smaller golems in order to inflict paralyze on it. When it merges with Golem Body, it transfers the ailment to Golem Body, paralyzing it. Golem Body is immune to all ailments and binds, so this is the only way to inflict paralyze on it. Now defeat Golem Body while it's paralyzed to obtain Stun Barrier as additional loot.

Now just complete your map and climb the upstairs to the 2nd Stratum. However, I decided to return to the town by using Ariadne Thread since my characters had used most of their TP. After arriving at COUNCIL, Ramus gives you Honeyed Fruit and Storage Jar, then Pancake and Special Frying Pan. Now you can make another 2 dishes while staying at the campfire. I think they're connected with the previous requests, but I don't know which ones. After reporting the result, the Council gives 1500 en as reward for unlocking the 2nd Stratum.

Interlude

Since you've landed your foot on 6F, new requests have appeared. However, I'll mention them in the bottom of the 6F section for easier reading. The following floor has several TP healing spots, so you probably don't need to rest at Inn.

Anyway, if you go back to 3F and head toward Jenetta's location at F6, she informs that her baking business is doing well so she won't come back here anymore. Now you can't ask for White Breads or Fruit Cakes anymore.
