18F - Lost in the Crystal Caves
Before arriving at this floor, you need to bring a Draconic Shard to get the best result from clearing an event shortly. Hopefully you didn't sell all of them before.
I put some bricks to avoid unwanted crystal's activation. It'll be explained shortly. Remember that those tiles are not actually blocked.
Remember, the difficulty can be changed anytime when you're in town.

Hug the right wall until you trigger an event. A guard can be seen mining the crystals in order to pay for his son's medicine. You can choose whether to give him a Draconic Shard or not. If you don't bring a Draconic Shard, you can offer him money instead. However, the best result you can get is by giving him the crystal. Don't choose to leave him, as you won't get anything, and won't be able to trigger this event again.
Adventurer's LogThe Cost of Crystal
Upon meeting a father who was mining for crystals to pay for his son's medicine, you handed him a valuable mineral.
Adventure Result (EXP) Advanced Basic 32500 39000
Hug the right wall until you find a taking point with Ooze Mushroom, Igneous Herb, and Crystal Flower, then keep hugging the right wall to open a door to the next zone which has a new FOE, Hellhound, on the field. This creature always chases you while you are inside the zone regardless of your distance, and it can't be prevented in any way unless you get out from the room, so keep that in your mind.
To escape from this beast, head north and break the crystal, then hug the left wall through the northwest corner until you find the exit. The next room is empty, so just head straight to open the next door to the next zone, which also has an FOE on the field, but for now it can't approach you unless you open the access by breaking the crystal. Hug the left wall until you find a giant crystal at A5, then break it and hug the left wall until you open the next door.
Head north to harvest a few Forest Wheats, then head west to find a different-shaped crystal which can't be destroyed. Run clockwise until you arrive at its north, and then you'll be teleported to a different place. This type of crystal acts as a teleporter, and some crystals can teleport you to a different place when you face it from different direction, so keep that in your mind.
The first teleporter is at A3, and it'll teleport you to B3. Follow the way to meet a mysterious girl, the same person you have seen in the previous floor, who tells about Crystal Dragon which dwells in this stratum. This discovery must be reported to Ramus, but it can be done later after you've fully explored this floor.
Follow the way and head west to meet Conrad again, who gives 5 Meats as he won't need them anymore. The next crystal has many possible teleport locations, and don't go straight to approach it. From Conrad's meeting point, head west-south-west-west to approach the crystal from its south, and you'll be teleported to B2. Now just hug the right wall to trigger an event. It's a resting spot which recovers 24 (Advanced) / 30 (Basic) HP and TP to all party members, advancing the clock by 1 hour.
Adventurer's LogCrystalline Throne
When you came to a crystalline formation shaped like a bench, you sat down for a well-earned rest. Now that's furniture!
Adventure Result (EXP) Advanced Basic 20000 24000
Turn back and hug the right wall until you find a taking point with Ooze Mushroom, Igneous Herb, and Crystal Flower, keep hugging the right wall to activate the crystal at the southeastern block of C1 to be teleported to C3, follow the way to open the shortcut on your right side, then come back and now you need to approach the crystal from its north. Head west-north-west-west from Conrad's meeting point to be teleported to D2, head west to open a chest with Silver Ingot, then activate the crystal again to be back at C3. Now your objective is to approach the crystal from its west, but remember, don't approach it from its north and south to avoid unwanted teleportation. If done correctly, you'll be teleported to D4. Now hug the left wall until you trigger another event. Select the first option to farm berries, but then white snakes quickly show up and slither on all of your party members. You have the option whether to jump out or endure it. The first option causes your party members to lose 38 HP, but the second option avoids the damage. Either option gives 8 Forest Berries as reward.
Adventurer's LogSnakes and Berries
While picking a berry patch, you found yourselves covered in snakes. You remained calm, and they left you be. Whew!
Adventure Result (EXP) Advanced Basic 36500 43800
Now hug the left wall to activate the crystal at A4 to be teleported to A1, move northeast to find a fishing point, turn back and head southeast to find another crystal which teleports your party members to E3, hug the left wall to find 3 way holes, and then keep hugging the left wall to find another 3 way holes. Make sure to check both holes to unlock a request later. Now hug the left wall all the way until you open a chest with Soma Prime, but then don't approach the crystal nearby. Backtrack the long way again to activate the crystal at E3 from its west, and you'll be teleported to E5. If you face south you'll see the upstairs to 19F, but as usual you need to deal with the requests and also report your discoveries to Ramus. Don't forget to open the shortcut in the southwest before going back.
Enter Council Hall to report to Ramus. He says that several reports about the girl, who knows more about the labyrinth, have been made before. He is also curious about the previously-mentioned Crystal Dragon, so the Council assigns a new mission to you. Accept it, then head into BAR to deal with the requests.
Jenetta needs the help of adventurers while her inn is swamped during its busy season.
Reward: Nectar x3, Nectar II
Head into INN and accept her request to deliver lunchboxes, then 3 new marks appear on 17F map, and you'll also obtain 3 Jenetta's Lunches. Those marks are located in the big area accessible by the shortcut at B6. Simply pass through the shortcut at B6, then head toward each exclamation mark to deliver the lunchbox.
When you arrive at B7 exclamation mark, they introduce themselves as Sky Peacock Guild. However, since they forgot about the lunchboxes, they have made their own meals, so they don't need the lunchboxes anymore. You'll obtain 2 Fishball Soups as reward. When you arrive at D7 exclamation mark, you'll meet Conrad again, who is still mining the crystals. After handing over the lunchboxes, he gives Bismuth to you as a token of appreciation. When you arrive at E7 exclamation mark, they introduces themselves as Hallowed Hunters Guild. After handing over the lunchboxes, they gives 5 Meats to you as a token of appreciation.
Now head back to INN and report to Jenetta to clear this request.
"I wish to capture a powerful monster from 17F, but the guards aren't strong enough. Please help."
Reward: Glow Brace
After accepting the request, a new mark has appeared on 17F map. Simply head there to find two guards who want to capture a Sonar Worm FOE by luring it into a trap. Another exclamation mark appears on the map, which is 5 squares away from Sonar Worm. Basically you need to strike the northeast crystal from its west once, then break the north crystal from its south, and finally break the southwest crystal from its north.
Now select PATRON to see some new faces. However, the rest of the patrons just inform some tips which may be useful during your adventure. If you take all of the above requests, land in 17F to clear the second request, then head toward the shortcut at B6 to clear the first request.
|The mysterious girl you met in the labyrinth claims there's a Crystal Dragon lurking within the 4th Stratum. Please verify its existence and, if there, eliminate it.|
Once you're ready, save your game, and then climb the upstairs to 19F.
