3rd Stratum

15F - The Lord of the Undying

Before arriving at this floor, if you travel during the daylight, you may want to bring a few Guard Soles / activate Warlock's Levitation skill to prevent tile damages. Guard Soles are buyable at the shop for each Floating Cranium, dropped by Cracked Skull, a common enemy in 3rd Stratum.

Remember, the difficulty can be changed anytime when you're in town.

Move one square south to find a message from Solor. She has built a campsite and also left 2 Forest Wheats, 2 Moon Apples, 2 Meats, and 2 Forest Berries. You can also make some dishes here. You need 1 Fishball Soup and 1 Traveler Stew to clear a request way later in the game, so you may want to cook them here and save them until the time comes. Once you've done, head east until you find an impassable crevice on your left side, then switch to the right wall until you find another door. Upon entering this door, a strange voice can be heard, but if you have learned Celestrian's Detect Mana skill, you'll back off immediately.

Adventurer's Log

Lurking Malice

When you entered a room filled with bones, you detected mana of an unholy origin and chose to avoid the evil threat.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Get out and return to the entrance, head northwest to find a chopping point with Skull Wood, Parasitic Vine, and Fine Sapling, head west to find an impassable crevice, hug the right wall until you arrive at F5, and switch to the left wall to harvest a few Mandrapotatoes. Now hug the left wall all the way until you find a sealed door which requires certain key. Ignore it for now, head 2 squares north, 2 squares east, 2 squares north again, and then head east and hug the right wall until you find a chest with All Mist. Turn back and head west until you find an impassable crevice on your right side, then hug the right wall until you arrive at the dead end to trigger another event, which requires Celestrian's Detect Mana skill to be cleared. Select the first option to dig the coffin, then select the first option again to open it. Your party members' HP and TP will be restored by 230. Don't ever select the second option for both decisions, as you'll lose your chance to clear this event.

Adventurer's Log

Remnants of the War

By detecting mana underground, you dug up an old coffin with a healing power sealed inside.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Turn back and head north, then head west at B1 and keep hugging the left wall until you find a chest with 4000 en. Return to the intersection at B1 and head north this time, hug the left wall until you find a taking point with Bane Weed, Zombie Shroom, and Mist Blossom, head south until you open the shortcut in the south, and then come back and head east to open another door.

There are 1 Roaming Wraith and 1 Headless Hunter FOEs on the field. Your objective is to exit through the north door. During the daylight, you can use bright areas to hinder their movements, otherwise you have to make a round trip in the southeast area, and then you can head northwest to open the door. Once outside of the room, head 2 squares east to trigger another event, which requires someone who has learned Hunting Skill to be cleared. Simply choose the first option to obtain 3-5 Meats as reward.

Adventurer's Log

That'll Do, Pig

Upon seeing the hoofprints of a pig, you followed the tracks and hunted down a meaty beast. Who's hungry for bacon!?

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Immediately face south to find a fishing point, then go back and head north to open another door.

This zone has 1 Skelesword and 1 Roaming Wraith FOEs on the field. Your objective is the southeast door, but the northeast path is guarded by Roaming Wraith. During the daylight, you can simply wait Roaming Wraith until it moves west, then quickly head east and follow the way to the door. If you travel in the evening, read the following paragraph.

Basically you need to lure the Skelesword until it's trapped at the most southeastern block of A3, hindering Roaming Wraith's movement. Roaming Wraith has an ability to pass through walls, but it can't pass through Skelesword? Very strange. Anyway, once Roaming Wraith is stopped, just continue your way until you open another door.

Hug the left wall and go through the shortcut, then open the chest with Ariadne Thread in the room, and step back one square to find an impassable crevice. Nothing can be done for now, so head back to previous zone and continue southwest to open another door.

This zone has 1 Headless Hunter and 2 Skeleswords on the field. During the daylight, you can wake up the east Skelesword, then lure it to the bright area, and then quickly move past its spawning position to the southeast door. If you travel in the evening, read the following paragraph.

Actually there are several ways to avoid the FOEs here. However, I preferred to go 1 square east and 3 squares south to wake up the Skelesword, then go north-north-west-east-north-west-east-west, and then head southwest through the path on the east of the other Skelesword, and now continue east to open the next door before Headless Hunter can approach you.

Upon entering the next door, you have to decide whether you want to fight the enemies or warns Solor. Either option, Solor joins the mandatory fight against 1 Coffin Demon and 2 Horned Skulls. Afterward, the voice, now introduces itself as Undead King, invites you to its chamber. The game tells you to proceed forward. However, if you look at the map, you need to open 2 shortcuts, then head northeast to find a mining point with Rusted Metal, Obsidian, and Flint. Now hug the right wall until you approach the final door, and now Solor and Lili show up again. Lili expresses her regrets for worrying everyone. Select any options several times, then you'll have an option whether you want to bring Lili to fight the boss or not. However, I preferred to return to the town. My party members had used most of theirs TP, and my inventory already had no space left either. You also need to deal with some requests.

If you still haven't registered all Maps, Monsters, and Items you've found during 3rd Stratum, now is the best time. You'll obtain Brio Wrist after submitting the entire 3rd Stratum maps, and 3 Somas after registering 50 monsters. Now visit BAR to accept the requests.

Showing the Ropes

"Hello, I'm a new adventurer! I need some advice from veteran explorers. Please answer my question!"

Reward: Nectar x5

Select PATRON and talk to Enthusiastic Swordsman who asks about the shortcut in 4F. It's located 2 squares south and 1 square west of the upstairs to 5F. If you land on 5F and go downstairs, simply head 2 squares south to find the shortcut on your right side. Now select the first option to tell him, then touch the shortcut location on your touch screen. If done correctly, you'll clear this request immediately.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Glamour of the Graveyard

"This quest isn't easy, but I want some adventurers to get material from a tough 3rd Stratum monster!"

Reward: Silver Ingot

Basically you need to obtain Ebon Breastplate by defeating Headless Hunter FOE, found at 14F and 15F, and, if you manage to get its additional loot, Burnt Pauldron, you'll receive 2 Silver Ingots instead. In order to obtain its additional loot, you have to defeat it with fire attack, which is its weakness. However, it won't be easy, as it always counters (passive ability) every fire attack with Scorching Anger, attempting to inflict curse to every party member, then it always follows this attack with Carnage Axe, which has a low chance to instantly kill any party members. To add the worse news, it also has Mindburn Oil, which inflicts panic to party members and also imbues their weapon with fire element.

Your main threat is Scorching Anger, but if you manage to bind its head, you can deal a lot of damage. Perform Celestrian's Chain Blast Union Skill in the battle, then buff yourself with fire element if you can, and spam your best skills against it. You can also try to equip Petra Flyssa or use Gorgon Arrow's Gorgon Shot to inflict petrify. To prevent panic, you can equip Goat Earring, buyable at the shop for 2 Shattered Horns, dropped by Cliff Goat at 2nd Stratum.

Adventure Result (EXP)AdvancedBasic

Now select PATRON to see some new faces. However, the rest of the patrons just inform some tips which may be useful during your adventure. Now rest at Inn, bring a few healing items, save your progress, then return to 15F.
