Grand Travels Map

NOTE: This section is currently just a glorified placeholder without any actual unlockable info. It will be worked on when the previous sections are all done.

The Grand Travels Map is obtainable by purchasing the Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks DLC or the Season Pass DLC for the game in the version or by completing The Armies of Ruin on . This map is actually comprised of two separate areas that do not connect or overlap in any way. There are two starting areas, which many people don't initially notice. This is how you complete the full map, by playing from each starting area.

In the center of the map you'll see the Phantom Hourglass. After every three battles, some of the sand will fall from the top of the hourglass to the bottom. If at any point all of the sand is at the bottom of the hourglass, you'll be required to earn an A-Rank on a stage in order to unlock adjacent stages rather than the usual B or C-Ranks. You can move some of the sand back up to the top of the hourglass by beating any of the "Final battle!" stages with the giant bosses. You can complete the same stage over and over to move all of the sand up to the top if you desire.

This map also features two unique locations: Song Stones and The Linebeck Trading Company. Song Stones allow you to gain an extra copy of an Item Card by using that card while searching a stage with a Song Stone. The Linebeck Trading Company allows you to trade an Item Card for a Delicious (Gold level) food. Occasionally, you'll be able to get two pieces of food for one Item Card. Both of these features will disappear after being used but will reappear after a few battles.

The ultimate goal is to defeat a particular giant boss on each side of the map which will then open up the area where the Phantom Hourglass sits, allowing you to complete those stages and finish up the map.

Remember, difficulty increases as follows: Black (starting area) -> Green -> Yellow -> Purple -> Orange -> Blue -> Red.
